Counselling - Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the work take?Sessions are weekly and last 1 hour. How many sessions you need would depend on what brings you to counselling. Some people have very specific issues where a short term contract is appropriate. Others have more general concerns which may require a longer timescale. We would discuss this at your initial appointment. How much does it cost?My current fees are: Individual counselling, £40-£45 and couple counselling £50-£55. Is it confidential?Everything that is discussed is confidential. However, there may be instances, for example, where there is danger of harm to self or others, where it may be necessary to involve other professionals. In addition, all counsellors are required to be in ongoing supervision of their work and I therefore meet regularly with a colleague to discuss my work with clients.
